rustplusplus In-Game Commands Cheat Sheet

Updated 2026-09-24

rustplusplus reads your team chat and answers there. Type the prefix (default !) and the command. Commands only work from team chat, not global chat, and only for members of the bot host's in-game team. Everything here is also available from the bot's commands channel in Discord. Arguments are shown in angle brackets; the full reference with every option is in the Commands documentation.

Is anything happening on the map?

Things that trip people up

  • Wrong chat. Global chat is ignored on purpose. Use team chat.
  • Not in the host's team. The bot answers the host's team only. Make sure you are in the same in-game team as the person running the bot.
  • Prefix changed. Someone changed it in the settings channel. Check there if ! does nothing.
  • In-game commands disabled. There is a setting for that too, plus per-command permissions on the Discord side.
  • !leader refuses. It needs the leader setting enabled and the target teammate to have registered their own credentials.
  • Command delay. A configurable delay between commands exists to avoid spam; rapid-fire commands get dropped.

For Discord slash commands (/alarm, /switch, /storagemonitor, /map, /players and the rest) see the Commands documentation.
